  • For student from a country with no centre for Studies in France (CEF)
    The yellow Pre-admission Application Form (DAP) has to be collected at the cultural services of the embassies abroad. These departments are in charge of receiving the files, inviting candidates who have not passed the French language test (TCF/DAP or TCF for the general public) and sending all the files that meet the requirements to the national schools of architecture.
  • For the students residing in France
    The procedure is digital, the blue Prior Admission Form (DAP)  https://www.formulaires.service-public.fr/gf/cerfa_16116.do do must be completed using the information notice https://www.formulaires.service-public.fr/gf/getNotice.do?cerfaNotice=50888&cerfaFormulaire=16116 and filed with the requested attachments on the Taiga National Schools of Architecture portal no later than 17 January 2021 https://admission.archi.fr .
    Please note that some data needs to be filled in, it is recommended not to fill it in at the last moment.

TCF language test

A French knowledge test (TCF/DAP or TCF tout public) is required for non-exempt* candidates.
Candidates must obtain at least 12/20 in the TCF/DAP for written expression and 420 for the overall score.
A TCF/DAP test will be organised together with Ensa Paris-Malaquais, Paris-Val de Seine and Paris-Belleville on 4 February 2021 (morning) at the Paris-Belleville school.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

DAP application form

The application file must be precise and complete (birth certificate or photocopy of an identity document translated into French, residence permit for residents in France, transcripts and photocopies of diplomas translated by a sworn body and certified as true, portfolio of work in A4 format maximum…).
Even if it is not compulsory, it is strongly advised to attach a portfolio of work (drawings, photos, etc.) for a first-year degree application.

commission to examine the application forms

Only the members of the commission are entitled to decide on the year of integration in the curriculum of the admitted candidates. In view of the organisation of the Master’s programme at ENSA-PB, it is not possible to enter the school in the second year of the Master’s programme.r.

* Candidates exempted from TCF/DAP

  • candidates holding a DELF B2 or a DALF C1 or C2, or the TEF (French language test organised by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry with at least 14/20 in the written expression test);
  • candidates from French bilingual sections on a list drawn up jointly by the French Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs;
  • candidates from an officially French-speaking country: Benin, Burkina Faso, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Guinea-Conakry, Mali, Niger, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Togo.

tuition fees

As an indication, the annual tuition fees in the National Higher Schools of Architecture in 2020/2021 amount to

373 € for enrolment in the bachelor’s programme,
512 € for enrolment in the master’s programme.

The reform of tuition fees for foreign students is not applicable to the schools of architecture.

language of teaching

Teaching at ENSA-PB is conducted solely in French. A perfect command of the oral and written French language is therefore required, validated by the TCF/DAP or TCF tout public (see above), the DELF B2 or the DALF C1 or C2, the TEF (organised by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry with a minimum of 14/20 in the written expression test).
